I saw Washington Shakespeare Company's Macbeth last night. It was interesting, to say the least. Their concept was to do the entire show in the nude. All nude, the entire time. I have to say. . .the guy playing MacBeth. . .good looking man with a very nice penis, however, whenever he spoke, his right testicle would rise up, and when he stopped talking, it would drop. . making his whole package giggle. It was SO distracting. I couldn't pay attention to anything else!
Also, as you can imagine in a space with little to no A/C, by the start of Act 2, a general locker room odor was permiating throughout, granted I was in the second row. . .
One of the men, REALLY needs to trim as it appeared he did not have a penis at all. I really felt bad for him. And finally, one of the young skinny boys went half mast during one of the scenes, making it all worth it.
Acting-wise, I thought it was ok. . its hard to differentiate when they are playing different characters when they are naked. They didn't do a very good job of physically changing their stances or posturing when transitioning from character to character. And, the vocal noises they would make when off stage was pretty distracting to me.

The pubic hair police strike again... I've yet to meet anyone who actually requires a trim.
I'm with the commenter above. A trimmed bush is just gross to me. Be natural, men! You're so much sexier just being yourself!
I like trim. Not too trim, mind you, but the hair that looks like a shaggy beard? That stuff's gotta go. Gets in the way, too.
Amusing about the naked Shakespeare! Wish you had pics. Guess that would be taboo, though. I remember seeing Oh! Calcutta on Broadway in the 80s--the mostly naked or all naked musical. Was surprised that it was not titallating--fun and amusing, but not exciting. Just nudes.
Why not have naked theater? Shakespeare can be a bit of a bore--admit it.
Unfortunately, I had no chance to see the play, but I was impressed by the pictures of Macbeth played by Daniel Eichner. He's so hairy and although the scenery was quite dim, you can even see the hairs on his back! It must be gorgeous to see such a hairy man acting fully nude on stage! Do you remember the name of the actor whose small manhood was covered by pubic hairs? It is absolutly brave of this actor and of Daniel Eichner as well to show their goods!
I read that the whole cast were not allowed to shave any body hair from three month before the show started. So especially the main character Macbeth played by Daniel Eichner has a quite hairy body. He has thick pubic hairs and his body is completly hairy, even his back! It is quite unusual and impressive to see such a hairy man fully nude on stage, because today most actors shave, when they have a nude scene on stage or in a movie - at least the hairs on the back. But in this play all actors look absolutly naturally. And Daniel Eichner tops all of the male actors with his amount of body hair!
You write very well.
